Foot reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflex points in the feet which correspond to every part, gland, and organ of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation, and helps promote the natural function of the related areas of the body. Reflexology helps the body to normalize itself naturally without adverse side effects.

There are more than 7,200 nerve endings in each of the feet which have extensive interconnections through the spinal cord and brain with all areas of the body. Reflexology is very effective in reducing stress by putting the client into a state known as the “parasympathetic” mode of the nervous system. This state, commonly known as R&R (Rest & Repair), facilitates the body’s ability to re-balance its self-healing potential. Regulating nerve impulses and alleviating blockages allows the body systems to maintain an internal balance of “homeostasis.”


Reiki is a Japanese word which means Universal Life force Energy. It is a healing art which was discovered by Dr Mikao Usui (1865 – 1926). Reiki aims to move natural energy through the body to replace energy that has become blocked or stagnant helping to relieve tension and balance the entire mind, body and spirit system, thus promoting better health and longer life.

These are funnels or wheels of energy, which in a perfectly healthy body, should be open, spinning and connected. When one or more of our chakras are blocked or stagnant, we feel an imbalance in our bodies’ functions.
